This Privacy Policy describes how alibolly (“alibolly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit alibolly.com or use our services. We’ve written it in plain language — no legalese.

1.Overview

alibolly is currently a pre-launch brand site. Our full product — a software service — is in development and will launch in the future. This policy describes how we handle your information today and what will change when we launch the full service.

By using alibolly.com or providing us with your information (for example, by joining the waitlist), you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2.Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the site and communicate with you. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, financial information, or any other identifying details beyond those listed below.

2.1 Email Address

We collect your email address only when you voluntarily provide it by joining our waitlist or contacting us.

2.2 AI Assistant Questions

When you use the “Ask AI to explain” feature on this page, the question you type is transmitted to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not retain these questions on our own systems.

2.3 Anonymous Visitor Analytics

We collect aggregated, anonymous information about visitors to alibolly.com, including page views, country of origin, and device type. This data does not identify you personally and is not associated with cookies.

2.4 IP Address

Your IP address is briefly accessed by our rate-limiting service (typically held for 5–10 minutes, then automatically deleted) to prevent abuse of the AI feature. It is never linked to other information you submit and is never used to track you.

2.5 Local Browser Storage

If you toggle between dark and light modes, your preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. This information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us.

3.How We Use Information

Each piece of information we collect is used for a single, specific purpose:

  • To send launch and pre-launch updatesWe use your email solely to notify you when alibolly launches and to share occasional updates leading up to launch.
  • To answer questions about this policyAI assistant questions are processed to generate the response you receive in the panel.
  • To understand visitor patternsAggregated analytics help us understand interest in alibolly leading up to launch.
  • To prevent abuseIP addresses are temporarily used to enforce per-user and global rate limits on the AI assistant.

4.How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes — ever. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.

  • With service providersWe share specific pieces of information with the vetted service providers described in Section 5, each contracted to use it only as instructed by us.
  • When required by lawWe may disclose information if required to comply with a valid legal process (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of alibolly, our users, or others.
  • In a business transferIf alibolly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5.Service Providers

We rely on a small number of vetted service providers to operate the site. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and contracted to handle only the specific information noted below. All providers are based in the United States and are SOC 2 compliant or equivalent.

  • Email service providerStores waitlist email addresses and delivers our outbound messages.
  • Hosting and analytics providerServes this website and collects the anonymous, cookie-free visitor analytics described in Section 2.3.
  • AI providerProcesses questions submitted through the Ask AI panel and returns responses. Receives only the question text and the published privacy policy as context.
  • Rate-limiting serviceBriefly stores IP addresses (auto-expires within minutes) to enforce limits and prevent abuse of the AI feature.
  • Email inbox providerHosts the hello@alibolly.com shared inbox where replies and contact-form messages are delivered.

6.Cookies & Tracking Technologies

alibolly.com does not use cookies. Our analytics provider operates without cookies. Our AI provider does not place cookies on your device through this site. Our rate-limiting service does not place cookies on your device.

We do not use tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting, or any other technology designed to identify or follow you across websites.

7.Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Waitlist email addressesRetained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or until we discontinue the service.
  • AI assistant questionsNot retained on our systems. Our AI provider may retain them according to its own policy (typically up to 30 days).
  • Visitor analyticsAggregated and retained by our analytics provider for limited periods. We do not have access to individual visit records.
  • IP addresses (rate limiting)Automatically expire from our rate-limiting service within 5–10 minutes.
  • Email correspondence (hello@)Retained in our team inbox until manually deleted, typically within 12 months.

8.Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These rights typically include:

  • AccessRequest a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • DeletionRequest that we delete your personal information.
  • CorrectionRequest that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • ObjectionObject to or restrict our processing of your information.
  • PortabilityRequest your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdrawal of consentWithdraw consent at any time, including by unsubscribing from emails.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@alibolly.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your information, although we encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concerns directly.

9.International Data Transfers

Our service providers are based in the United States. If you are visiting alibolly.com from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.

Where required by applicable law (such as in the European Union or United Kingdom), our service providers operate under standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms to protect your information during international transfers.

10.Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. These measures include:

  • Vetted providersOur service providers are SOC 2 compliant or equivalent.
  • Limited accessAccess to waitlist data and the hello@ inbox is limited to the people directly operating alibolly.
  • No sensitive dataWe do not currently store passwords, payment information, or other sensitive personal data.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. When alibolly launches as a full software service, this section will be expanded to describe product-level security measures.

11.Children's Privacy

alibolly is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at hello@alibolly.com and we will promptly delete it.

12.Future Changes to Our Service

alibolly is currently a pre-launch site. When we launch the full software service, we will need to collect additional information to operate the product. This may include:

  • Account informationSuch as account credentials, profile information, and preferences.
  • Usage dataInformation necessary to operate features of the service.
  • Payment informationIf we offer paid plans, processed by a payment processor (we will not store card numbers ourselves).
  • Content you provideAny data you choose to submit to the service.

We will update this Privacy Policy and notify everyone on the waitlist by email before any of these new collection practices take effect. Information collected under the current version of this policy will continue to be governed by the current version unless you actively consent to the new terms.

13.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our practices evolve. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and post the new version here. For material changes that meaningfully expand what we collect or how we use it, we will additionally notify everyone on the waitlist by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of alibolly.com after a revised policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
